The Central Library holds the first cultural festival for the academic year 2024-2025

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, and the supervision of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, the Central Library at the University of Technology held the first cultural festival for the academic year 2024-2025 dedicated to reading in the halls of the Central Library (Cultural Forum Hall).

The participation was wide for the competing students from various departments of the university, which numbered (72) through the participation of each student with one book in which he competed with the rest of the participants, and the books dealt with many scientific, cultural, novelistic and fictional topics, which won the admiration of the attendees.

The competition ended with the participating students voting for the top 3 winners in terms of distinguished recitation, namely: the first place winner: Hiba Ammar Hussein Muhammad from the Department of Applied Sciences – Third Stage for the book The Joy of Being Twenty, the second place winner: Narjes Ali Taher Hussein from the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering – First Stage for the book Magdolin, and the third place winner: Malak Ali Maktouf Taher from the Department of Electromechanical Engineering – Third Stage for the book Artificial Intelligence. It is worth noting that the library allocated valuable cash prizes for the first three winners, certificates of appreciation, and a letter of thanks and appreciation distributed by the Director of the Central Library and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Competition, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ziad Qasim Habib.
