The Civil Engineering Department Organizes a Workplace Safety Course

Under the supervision of the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Ali Majid Khudair, and the implementation of the Laboratory Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Amer, and based on the directives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to train first-year students, the Civil Engineering Department organized a training course on workplace safety. This course is part of the specialized training on laboratory quality standards, risk management, and health and safety regulations. The course was presented by Mr. Majid Ahmed Ali, a quality consultant and international auditor, in the presence of the academic and administrative assistants, Prof. Dr. Amzahim Abdul Karim and Prof. Dr. Wael Shawqi, as well as several department staff and students.

The course covered emergency plans, firefighting, evacuation procedures, and first aid in case of accidents and disasters, and was prepared by the Laboratory Quality Unit.
