The Department of Electromechanical Engineering Organizes a Scientific Visit to the East Baghdad Oil Field

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering, Oil and Gas Equipment Branch, at the university organized a scientific visit to the East Baghdad Oil Field. The visit was supervised by the Head of the Oil and Gas Equipment Branch, Prof. Dr. Hussein Majid, Prof. Dr. Rahiq Ismail Ibrahim, Assoc. Prof. Baraq Abdulhadi, and Asst. Prof. Rahil Jawad, in cooperation with the Midland Oil Company, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Oil.

The aim of the visit was to familiarize students with the various formations and departments within the field, and to observe the latest techniques and advanced equipment used in the extraction and processing of crude oil, leading to the final export stages.

This visit is part of the scientific cooperation between the oil sector and educational institutions, enabling students to gain firsthand knowledge of the work environment, the types of equipment available, and to acquire the necessary practical experiences for their future careers.
