
The Department of Materials Engineering Organizes a Field Visit to the Natural History Research Center and Museum at the University of Baghdad
The Department of Materials Engineering at the Technological University, as part of the Women’s Affairs Unit activities, organized a field visit to the Natural History Research Center and Museum at the University of Baghdad. The visit was attended by faculty members, including Assistant Prof. Dr. Sura Salem Ahmed, Assistant Prof. Dr. Lama Akram Jallo, Assistant Prof. Dr. Abeer Farouk Abbas, Assistant Engineer Iman Kazem Hamza, Engineer Ali Hussein Jabar, and a group of second-year students from the department.
The university delegation was welcomed by the faculty member Ms. Noor Hussein Yusuf and Chief Agricultural Engineer Batoul Abdul-Ridha Al-Wazzan, who delivered a speech explaining the work of the center, the exhibition hall, and the process of collecting museum samples. The students were introduced to the stored specimens and exhibits, learning about their types and benefits, with a detailed explanation provided by Asst.L. Noor Hussein.
The goal of the visit was to familiarize students with the history of wildlife and living organisms in the Iraqi environment.
The visit concluded with the faculty members expressing their appreciation for the efforts made and the warm reception, as well as the valuable knowledge gained from this visit.
