The Department of Production Engineering organizes a workshop on the US-China conflict in Artificial Intelligence

The Technology Incubator and Environmental Systems Unit at the Department of Production and Metallurgical Engineering at the University of Technology organized a workshop titled “The US-China Conflict in Artificial Intelligence: ChatGPT and Deepseek as Models – A Comparative Study.” The event was held in the hall of the late Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Mahmoud Mansour in the department, with the attendance of several faculty members and students from the department.

The lecturer, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atiyah Al-Zuhairi, provided an in-depth explanation of this conflict to obtain cutting-edge technologies. He presented the new Chinese chatbot model, “DeepSeek,” which surpassed its American competitors and became the number one free app on the Apple Store. Following that, Eng. Mustafa Hassan Hadi presented a series of comparisons between American and Chinese chatbots.
