The Mechanical Engineering Department Holds a Symposium on a Technological Overview of the Future of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza,and under the supervision of the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Hadi Jabr, the Department of Mechanical Engineering – Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Branch held a scientific symposium on a general technological overview of the future of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The symposium was held in cooperation with LG Electronics Levant – Iraq, a company specializing in air conditioning and refrigeration. The symposium was held in the Professor Dr. Munir Al-Mudhaffar Hall, with the attendance of faculty and students from the department, in addition to a delegation from LG Electronics that included Iraqi, Arab, and Korean engineers.

The symposium reviewed the latest innovations and technologies adopted globally in the field of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

The symposium focused on future trends in the design of smart and sustainable HVAC systems and the importance of integrating modern technology into the engineering sector.

Assistant Professor Dr. Iyad Mahmoud, Head of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Department, stated that this symposium falls within the framework of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Department’s commitment to strengthening academic-industrial partnerships and providing a scientific platform that keeps pace with global developments and inspires students to expand their knowledge and research horizons in their fields of specialization. The symposium concluded with the awarding of shields and certificates of appreciation to the participants in recognition of their valuable contributions to the success of this scientific event.
