
The Production Engineering Department Organizes a Workshop on Industrial Cities
The Department of Production and Mineral Engineering at the University of Technology organized a workshop titled “Industrial Cities in Iraq with Wealth Distribution,” delivered by economic expert Dr. Mustafa Akram Hantoush.
The lecture highlighted the importance of industrial cities in strengthening the national economy and their role in exploiting natural resources sustainably and equitably across governorates. The lecture focused on several topics, including natural resources and their distribution in Iraq, which addressed the natural resources available in different governorates, such as oil, sulfur, phosphates, and others.
The workshop discussed the distribution of industrial cities and how to exploit these resources to achieve balanced development.
The lecturer spoke about industrial cities and their role in economic development, presenting models of industrial cities in Iraq, highlighting the most important challenges facing their development and proposed solutions. He also briefly addressed the integration of natural resources and various industries, and how to exploit natural resources to establish sustainable industries to enhance cooperation between various sectors and achieve the desired development that serves the country’s economy and employs its workforce.
