
The Training and Laboratory Center Celebrates the Golden Jubilee of the University of Technology
In celebration of the University of Technology’s golden jubilee, the University’s Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof.Dr. Farhad Muhammad Othman, accompanied by the University’s Assistant President for Academic Affairs, Prof.Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, inaugurated the Scientific Cultural Week, which is being held by the University’s Training and Laboratory Center from April 13-17, 2025.
The celebration began with an exhibition of companies specializing in various scientific fields related to automobiles, computer technology, and solar energy, as well as a display of cars from various international manufacturers, in which 10 companies participated.
The Director of the Training and Laboratory Center, Professor Dr. Wissam Hamid Aliwi, stated, “The goal of the celebration is to enhance the role of the private sector in cooperating with the University to raise the level of scientific and practical skills of students, affiliates, and graduates of the University of Technology and other Iraqi universities. It is also to connect the public and private sectors with educational outcomes and support them, and to benefit from cooperation mechanisms in training students during the summer vacation.” The celebration includes holding several workshops throughout the week dedicated to modern equipment used in maintaining car air conditioning systems, the latest technologies and specifications added to Changan cars, the latest technologies used in fault detection and maintenance, the latest technologies and specifications added to Mitsubishi cars, hybrid cars of all types, parts, operation, faults and maintenance, in addition to the latest technologies in the field of modern education systems, the installation of electricity generation systems with solar energy cells, the most important programs used in car maintenance and ways to subscribe to them, and the latest tools and equipment used in car maintenance. The exhibition witnessed a large turnout on its first day.
