The University of Technology proudly celebrates a remarkable achievement by Dr. Sajida Al-Saadi at the 2025 Women in Research Forum

In a distinguished scientific accomplishment, Dr. Sajida Al-Saadi, a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology, won a prestigious research grant in the fifth edition of the Women in Research Forum, organized by the University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.


Her research proposal, titled “Development of Environmentally Friendly Materials Using Additive Manufacturing,” was selected from 34 winning papers, out of 890 research submissions from around the world.

The forum was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, who emphasized, through his support for the event, the importance of empowering female researchers and enhancing the role of women in academic and scientific circles.

This achievement is a testament to Dr. Sajida Al-Saadi’s excellence and dedication in the field of scientific research, and her active contribution to the development of innovative and sustainable engineering solutions. It also reflects the ability of female researchers at the University of Technology to compete on the international scientific stage and make a clear impact in the fields of research and innovation.
