
University of Technology Participates in National Academic Team Workshop
The University of Technology participated in an intensive workshop to activate the role of the academic team within the tasks of the National Security Advisory. This participation comes as part of ongoing efforts to follow up on the implementation of the National Strategy for the years 2025-2030, in the presence of Dr. Ali Al-Yasiri from the National Security Advisory and his accompanying team.
The workshop witnessed the presence of a number of presidents of Iraqi universities, in addition to representatives from various relevant government institutions. This workshop emphasized the importance of cooperation between academic institutions and security agencies to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of national development strategies.
The sessions included in-depth discussions on the role of scientific research and academic development in supporting national security, mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of strategic plans, and enhancing cooperation between universities and state institutions to ensure the achievement of desired goals.
The participants stressed the need to strengthen the role of academics in shaping security and development policies by providing scientific and analytical studies that support strategic decision-making. The importance of continuous education and training to ensure the highest levels of readiness to meet future challenges was also highlighted.
At the end of the workshop, it was recommended to continue the work of the coordinating committees between the academic and security teams to follow up on the implementation of the National Strategy 2025-2030 and to work on developing joint training programs that contribute to building the capacities of national personnel.
