University of Technology Wins Best Actor Award at the Ministerial University Theater Festival

The University of Technology won the Best Actor Award at the Ministerial University Theater Festival, organized by the Student Activities Department of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The festival was hosted by Al-Kitab University in Kirkuk Governorate from April 13-17, 2025, with the participation of more than 45 public and private universities.

Student Muntadhar Mahoud / Applied Sciences Department won the Best Actor Award at the festival. The award was received by the Administrative Assistant at Al-Kitab University, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Ilah Hamid Yassin.

The University of Technology participated in the festival with the play “The Crows,” written and directed by Sabah Al-Rikabi, Head of the Theater and Music Unit in the Student Activities Department at the university.

The performance also featured students Mujtaba Baha, Muntadhar Mahoud, Amir Sattar, Mina Muhammad, Muhammad Abbas, Munsef Khalil, and Hamza Jassim. The performance received acclaim and applause from the audience.

This participation is part of a series of participations undertaken by the Student Activities Department/Artistic Activities Division in all artistic and cultural activities of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
