A lecturer from Media Department publishes a book on agenda-building for satellite news websites
Lec. Dr. Hala Ali Al-Sharifi, a lecturer in Media Department and Government Communication at the University of Technology, published a book jointly with Prof. Dr. Bushra Al-Sinjari / College of Media at the University of Baghdad, titled (Al-Arabia and Its Relationship to the Public’s Political Trends). It was published by Amjad Printing and Publishing House in Jordan.
This book provides an in-depth analysis of the agenda-building of Al-Arabia satellite news websites and their relationship to the public’s political trends through a comprehensive study that included an analysis of the news content on satellite channels’ websites. It then surveyed the opinions of political elites on the extent to which media messages influence opinion leaders and decision-makers, contributing to a deeper understanding of the relationship between media and politics. It also contributes to raising awareness about the influence of media on the political arena.
This is a pivotal topic in light of the challenges facing the media and political arenas.
