College of Biomedical Engineering Holds its Annual Student Projects Festival

As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the University of Technology’s founding, the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Farhad Muhammad Othman, inaugurated the  Fourth Annual Festival for showcasing student projects and activities. The festival was organized by the College of Biomedical Engineering at the university, with the attendance of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sadiq Hussein Bakhi, and a large number of the college’s faculty and staff.

The festival included a presentation of graduation projects by fifth-year students, in addition to high-quality projects by students in non-graduating years. These projects reflected a diversity of ideas and innovation in the proposed solutions. The festival also featured an art exhibition of student paintings and a musical performance that added a creative touch to the scientific and artistic atmosphere of the occasion.

Attendees praised the advanced scientific level presented by the students, which reflects the spirit of cooperation and hard work between them and their professors. They pointed out the importance of these projects in serving the health sector and the necessity of supporting and developing them to become a nucleus for pioneering initiatives that enter the job market.

The participating students were honored with certificates of appreciation, presented by the Dean of the College of Biomedical Engineering, in recognition of their outstanding efforts and active participation.

The festival concluded with a speech by the Dean of the College and the Scientific Associate, in which they expressed their deep thanks and great appreciation for the distinguished efforts made by the scientific and preparatory committees in organizing this scientific event. They emphasized the college’s commitment to supporting student talents and embracing their creative ideas, which enhances the role of the University of Technology in advancing the wheel of education and scientific research towards further progress and contributing to building a developed scientific society that meets the future needs of Iraq.
