College of Chemical Engineering Signs Twinning and Cooperation Agreement with Al-Hikma University College

The College of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology has signed a twinning and joint cooperation agreement with Al-Hikma University College, specifically in the field of Petroleum Refining Engineering and Gas Technology.

This agreement aligns with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to strengthen scientific collaboration between public and private institutions with similar academic disciplines, aiming to enhance the quality of the educational process.

The agreement covers several key areas, including the development of academic plans and course content in line with the Bologna Process, standardization of curricula in parallel disciplines, and the exchange of textbooks and educational resources. It also includes the organization of training workshops on teaching methodologies, collaboration on summer training programs, shared use of laboratories, and cooperation in e-learning and joint student examinations.

Furthermore, the agreement supports joint scientific research, collaborative publication in internationally recognized journals, peer review of research papers, organization of joint scientific conferences, and co-supervision of postgraduate thesis defenses.

In his welcoming speech, Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajmi Sukkar, Dean of the College of Chemical Engineering, emphasized the University of Technology’s ongoing efforts to advance and solidify academic programs that benefit both society and the labor market. He highlighted the university’s strong performance in various national and international rankings as a testament to the quality of its educational strategies.
