College of Computer Engineering Organizes Lecture Entitled (She Works, He Works Together in an Equitable Environment)

The College of Computer Engineering at the University of Technology, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit, held a lecture entitled “She Works, He Works Together in an Equitable Environment,” delivered by Lect. Dr. Baidaa Abdul Jabbar, with the attendance of a number of faculty members, staff, and students in the college’s discussion hall.

The lecture covered important topics on equal opportunities in the workplace, including equality in employment, promotions, wages, leaves, and social security.

The lecture also touched upon Iraqi legislation that guarantees these rights in the public and private sectors, with reference to some special privileges for women in consideration of their family circumstances. The lecture concluded with an opening for discussion and dialogue.

The head of the Women’s Affairs Unit in the college, Assistant Professor Dr. Noor Abdul Khaliq, presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in recognition of her efforts.
