
Computer Engineering Receives a Delegation from Al-Safwa University College
With the support of the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, and under the supervision of the Head of the Aircraft Engineering Department, Dr. Imad Abdul Hussein Abdul Sahib, and within the framework of the directives of Professor Dr. Amjad Al-Sawad, Director General of the Space Research and Technology Center, to strengthen the bonds of scientific cooperation between the center and specialized universities and colleges, a scientific delegation of Lecturers and students from the Aircraft Engineering Department – Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology paid a scientific visit to the Space Research and Technology Center, to expand the horizons of research and development in the fields of aviation and space.
The students were accompanied on this visit by Dr. Ali Jabbar to view the engineering design laboratory, the wind tunnel, and payload systems and to review the latest technologies used in this field, in addition to conducting practical experiments on operating piston aircraft engines.
The visit witnessed fruitful scientific discussions between lecturers and researchers, focusing on developing the applied skills of engineering students and enhancing their capabilities in related specialized fields.
The visit concluded with an agreement to establish joint graduation projects between the two parties, which will provide students with the opportunity to work on advanced engineering applications in an advanced research environment, which will contribute to enriching applied scientific knowledge and enhancing integration between academic research and the needs of the industrial sector. This cooperation comes within the framework of the University of Technology’s ongoing efforts to raise the scientific and research level of its students and open new horizons in the fields of aviation and space technology, in line with global developments in this vital sector.
