Department of Electromechanical Engineering Discusses Importance of Spreading Awareness of Solar Energy Culture

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering discussed the topic of “Spreading Awareness of Solar Energy Culture and Recognizing Its Importance” in a workshop organized by the Energy and Renewable Energy Engineering Branch, presented by Engineer Hamza Saad Mohammed, with the attendance of a number of professors and students.

The workshop aimed to emphasize the importance of raising awareness about solar energy as a renewable and sustainable source of energy, as an alternative to diesel generators. It also introduced the modern technologies used in photovoltaic and thermal solar energy systems.

The workshop highlighted the economic benefits of using solar energy in reducing electricity costs and achieving financial sustainability, as well as promoting environmental culture by highlighting the role of solar energy in reducing carbon emissions and protecting the environment.

Challenges and solutions related to the application of solar energy systems in various environments were discussed, and the types of these systems, their differences, and their operating mechanisms were explained.
