Department of Mechanical Engineering organize a scientific visit to the Baghdad International Exhibition for Energy Solutions and Power Plants

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology – Power Plants Branch organized a scientific visit for Sophomore students to the 10th Iraq International Energy Conference and Exhibition, which was held at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds.

 

This visit aims to enhance students’ applied knowledge about the latest technologies and innovations in the field of energy and power plants, and to provide them with the opportunity to view the modern solutions offered by local and international companies participating in the exhibition.

 

The visit is also an opportunity to enhance communication between students and entities working in this sector, which contributes to linking the academic aspect with practical and applied reality.

 

The students were accompanied during the visit by a number of department Lecturers:-

  • Assistant Professor Dr. Muwaffaq Qasim Shayea.
  • Lecturer Dr. Shaima Hilal Kamel.
  • Lecturer Dr. Mansour Ali Ismail.
  • Lecturer Dr. Zaid Ali Hussein.
  • Assistant Lecturer Sarmed Ziad Tariq.

 

The students interacted with the presentations, and asked questions about the modern technologies used in renewable and traditional energy plants, which contributed to enriching their scientific experience and enhancing their understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this field.

It is worth noting that this visit comes within a series of scientific activities organized by the department to enhance the practical aspect of students and prepare them for the requirements of the labor market.
