Electromechanical Engineering Department Organizes Workshop on Dangers of Drugs and Their Negative Effects

As part of the activities of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance and Women’s Affairs Unit for the (University Mornings) segment, the Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology organized an awareness and educational workshop on (Drugs and Their Devastating Effects on the Individual and Society), delivered by the head of the Psychological Counseling Unit, Asst.Lect. Lamia Assi, in the presence of a number of professors and students in the department.

The lecture reviewed the dangers of drugs and their serious effects on the individual in particular and society in general, and the problems they create on mental and physical health.

Reference was also made to preventive methods, including good education and the activation of laws and policies that limit the spread of drugs, as well as holding awareness campaigns and scientific seminars to warn of their dangers.

The workshop provided a number of tips and recommendations to avoid falling into the pitfalls of these toxins, which contributes to building a healthy and more aware society in the face of various challenges.
