
Environmental Research Center Delegation Participates in Green Science Festival for Sustainable Development at Al-Nahrain University
A delegation from the Environmental Research Center at the University of Technology, representing the Sustainable Development and Environmental Technologies departments, participated in the Green Science Festival for Sustainable Development held at the College of Science, Al-Nahrain University. The delegation’s participation varied between scientific posters, awareness campaigns, and sustainable green agriculture projects. The Sustainable Development Department participated with an awareness poster titled “Clean Water: The Path to a Sustainable Life,” presented by the centre manager, Lect. Dr. Abbas Jawad Kadhim, and Lect. Dr. Muayyad Nassir Muslim, and Assistant Lecturer Abdul Aziz Ahmed Hamad.
Assistant Lecturer Asmaa Nafea Badri, Assistant Engineer Israa Radhi Abbas, and Dr. Hind Abdul Jalil also participated in presenting sustainable green agriculture projects. As for the Environmental Technologies Department, they presented scientific research posters. Dr. Zahraa Zahraw participated with research titled “Treatment of Crude Oil Spills in Water using Microbial Action,” while Dr. Afaf Abdul Rahman Ayoub presented a scientific poster titled “The Effect of Microencapsulation of Flaxseed Oil with Protein Isolate and Fenugreek Gum on Experimental Animals in Improving Nutritional Properties.”
The participation reflected the Environmental Research Center’s commitment to promoting sustainable development concepts and environmental innovation, and highlighted the importance of scientific research and environmental awareness in achieving sustainable development goals.
