Lecture on AI and DT at Computer Science Department

On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration marking 50 years since the establishment of the University of Technology, the Computer Science Department organized a lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation in the hall of the late Dr. Imad Kadhim, with the attendance of the Dean of the Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kadhim Farhan.

The lecture was delivered by the Head of the Arab Federation for Digital Empowerment – Iraq Branch, Professor Dr. Abbas Fadhil Al-Jubouri.

The lecturer began by introducing the Arab Federation for Digital Empowerment, which belongs to the Association of Arab Universities and focuses on topics related to the digital economy and all related information.

Dr. Al-Jubouri explained that digital transformation is the integration of technology that leads to fundamental changes in customer service, while artificial intelligence is defined as a set of technologies that can be integrated to perform various types of tasks. Then, touched upon the types of artificial intelligence: narrow AI, which performs a single task; general AI, which performs multiple tasks; and super AI, which surpasses human capabilities and performs significant tasks.

The importance of digital transformation lies in improving operational efficiency, enhancing user experience, creating new job opportunities, and accelerating service delivery time.

In conclusion, a certificate of appreciation was presented to the lecturer in recognition of his efforts in delivering the lecture.
