Speech of the President of the University of Technology

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

All praise is to the Almighty, who imparted knowledge to humanity beyond their understanding, and peace and blessings upon the most exalted of prophets and messengers, Muhammad, and his sacred lineage.

My esteemed professors, my students, my dear colleagues,

I am pleased and honored to address you today from this platform at the University of Technology, this distinguished academic institution that has been—and continues to be—a beacon of knowledge and innovation since its founding in 1975. Through its scientific and engineering efforts, the university has contributed to graduating generations of qualified individuals who have had a tangible positive impact on the labor market and have actively contributed to building our beloved Iraq.

At the University of Technology, our goal goes beyond merely imparting knowledge; it also includes cultivating critical thinking, strengthening minds, and creating skills that keep up with contemporary advancements. Therefore, we have a clear vision today that focuses on engineering, scientific, and technological specializations that meet the demands of the local and global market, while also advancing scientific research, developing academic curricula, and creating an educational environment that fosters creativity and innovation., with a focus on engineering, scientific, and technological specializations that meet the needs of the local and global market.

We believe that the greatest investment we can make is in our students, faculty, and staff, as they are the foundation of our scientific and administrative renaissance. From this perspective, we are working diligently to develop infrastructure, strengthen partnerships with international universities, and employ the latest technologies to support the educational process. We are also committed to implementing standards of integrity and transparency, combating administrative and financial corruption, and improving the quality of higher education in Iraq.

In this context, I emphasize the importance of scientific research, which represents the fundamental pillar of the development of nations. Therefore, we at the University of Technology are committed to supporting researchers, providing them with an appropriate environment, and encouraging research projects that contribute to providing practical solutions to the challenges facing our society.

My dear students, you are the hope of the future and the pillars of construction. I urge you to strive diligently to acquire knowledge, develop your skills, and invest your potential to achieve excellence. Success is not given; it is earned through perseverance, diligence, and hard work.

In end, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the lecturers and administrative staff who are making tremendous efforts to develop this institution. I also renew my commitment to working hand in hand with all of you to achieve our shared goals and move our university toward further progress and prosperity.

Together, toward a brighter and more distinguished future.
