The Central Library Holds a Workshop on “Using Artificial Intelligence in Cataloging and Classification”

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, and under the supervision of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Khawla Salah Khshan, and the Director of the Central Library, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ziad Qasim Habib, the Central Library at the University of Technology held a workshop titled “Using Artificial Intelligence in Cataloging and Classification.” The workshop was presented by Eng. Hadeer Methna Mohammed Saeed and Eng. Noor Abdul Ilah Ahmed, and took place in the Cultural Forum Hall.

The workshop discussed an applied explanation of the uses of artificial intelligence applications, particularly the ChatGPT application, in cataloging and classification, as well as the importance of artificial intelligence in various fields of life.

At the end of the workshop, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ziad Qasim Habib praised the efforts of the presenters for organizing the workshop.
