The Department of Laser Engineering Holds an Awareness Lecture on Artificial Intelligence

The Department of Laser Engineering and Optoelectronics at the University of Technology held awareness lectures on artificial intelligence delivered byAsst.L. Israa Bashir Muhammad, Head of the Planning Unit, in the department’s auditorium for first-year students.

The lectures addressed artificial intelligence (AI) as one of the most prominent modern technologies revolutionizing the field of medicine. AI is now used to analyze x-ray images and diagnose diseases with accuracy that sometimes surpasses that of human doctors, such as early detection of cancer and heart disease. AI is also used to develop new drugs by analyzing vast amounts of biological and genetic data, accelerating the medical research process. Furthermore, AI technologies are being employed to provide personalized healthcare, enabling the patient’s condition to be tracked and personalized treatment plans to be proposed.
