
The Department of Mechanical Engineering receives the Ministerial Committee to evaluate the establishment of a Master’s program in Aircraft Engineering
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance academic programs and advance scientific research, Prof. Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology, welcomed the specialized ministerial committee that visited the department to evaluate the proposal for establishing a Master’s program in Aircraft Engineering.
The visit began with a historical overview of the Aircraft Engineering branch, followed by an extensive discussion session between the committee and the department’s administration, with the attendance of the academic and administrative deputies.
During the meeting, the proposal for the Master’s program was reviewed, and the committee discussed its academic objectives, alignment with labor market demands, and research needs. The discussions also addressed the availability of specialized teaching staff and the scientific and research capabilities required to ensure high-quality educational and research outcomes.
As part of the field evaluation, the committee conducted a tour of the classrooms designated for graduate studies, scientific discussion rooms, research laboratories, and the department’s library to assess the readiness of the infrastructure for the new program. The committee also met with several faculty members in the Aircraft Engineering branch to gather their opinions on the program and its potential development to align with the latest advancements in the field.
This visit is part of the ongoing efforts by the Department of Mechanical Engineering to strengthen its academic programs and prepare specialized engineering professionals capable of meeting the technological developments and labor market needs in the aircraft engineering sector, contributing to sustainable development and innovation in this vital field.
