
The President of the University of Technology participates in the first national conference for Iraqi scholarship students
The President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, accompanied by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, participated today, Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in the First National Conference for Iraqi Scholarship Students, which was held under the patronage and presence of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dahod, a number of officials, university presidents, deans of government and private colleges, and scholarship students.
The conference aimed at enhancing the link between scholarship students and decision-makers by activating a constructive dialogue and unifying visions, as it seeks to collect the necessary data to develop a comprehensive plan that enables the maximum benefit from the country’s investment in scholarship programs in line with the vision of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and the government program, and reflects a commitment to developing human resources and supporting the process of national progress.
The conference witnessed a speech by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a speech by the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, and dialogue and discussion sessions. These sessions dealt with providing statistics on the number of scholarship students in Iraqi universities, their academic impact and the importance of integrating their expertise, as well as the importance of empowering scholarship students scientifically and administratively, reviewing the mechanisms for implementing initiatives to invest the expertise of scholarship students in various fields, and discussing the challenges faced by scholarship students in the academic work environment.
