The University of Technology participate in the Iraqi Digitization Forum

A group of lecturers from the University of Technology participated in the Iraqi Digitization Forum, which brings together a group of decision-makers, experts, and business leaders to discuss the future of digital transformation in Iraq. It was held at the Babylon Hotel in Baghdad.

The first session was attended by Dr. Amir Musa Thuwaini, a lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering and a representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with a dialogue on digital transformation in Iraq and its connection to cybersecurity. He explained the importance of digital transformation with the necessity of providing protection for systems, data, and the information network that serves these systems, as information represents a national wealth that affects the security and policy of the country.

The second session was moderated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Sundus Samir Juma, a lecturer in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering and an expert in the field of sustainable energy.

Assist. Lec. Muhammad Sabah Rashid, a lecturer in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering and the official spokesperson for the Iraqi Programmers Syndicate, also participated in this session, where he spoke about the necessity of developing plans and strategies for public and privet institutions and requesting digital systems from programmers while continuing to update these systems according to the requirements and developments of the work.
