University of Technology Launches Journal Accreditation Platform; College of Computer Science Hosts Introductory Workshop

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, and the supervision of the University Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Professor Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, with the presence of the Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hassan Jabal, the College of Computer Science hosted a workshop on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, introducing the new Journal Accreditation Platform. The event was held in the Late Dr. Emad Kazem Hall.

The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Fadel Abbas Fadel, Director of the IT Division at the College of Computer Science. It was specifically organized for members of the journal accreditation committees from the university’s various colleges and centers.

The platform aims to organize and track official documentation related to the accreditation requests of journals in which research is published or accepted for publication—covering both students and faculty. It ensures adherence to quality and accreditation standards. This initiative is part of the university’s broader effort toward digital transformation and eliminating traditional paper-based processes.
