Workshop to Use 3D Printers in Drone Design

The Department of Unmanned Aircraft Systems Engineering in Electromechanical Engineering held a scientific workshop on 3D printers used in designing some parts of drones, under the supervision of the branch head, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Hamid Rajah, and the attendance of a number of faculty members and second-stage students.

The workshop, presented by Dr. Mazen Abdel-Aali Hamza and third-stage students Abdulhamid Majeed and Abdullah Hassan Shahid, reviewed the operation of the 3D printer in making a miniature wing for a drone.

The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations to develop 3D printers and utilize them in making other parts of the drone’s body.
